About Football Coaching & Development BA (hons) in University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN)
Our BA (Hons) Football Coaching and Development course, based at our Burnley Campus, offers an engaging programme of modules that combine professional skills, academic understanding and practical experiences. In short, it’s everything you need to pursue a future in football coaching and development practice.
It’s a programme rooted in applied practice – linking classroom theory to real-world settings and situations. We offer a range of paid and voluntary placement opportunities, making the most of our impressive network of contacts across the football world. You could even spend a sandwich year coaching with a sports organisation, at home or abroad.
So, while you’ll develop a detailed understanding of the key concepts and components of the coaching profession, you’ll also have the chance to build your own networks and develop your own approaches. Then, by the time you leave us, you should be well equipped for a role in community or school development environments.
