Delivering healthcare to communities affected by disasters, be they natural or man-made, is an aspect of healthcare that is both demanding and immensely rewarding. This course will see you acquire the specific skills and expertise required to adapt and respond to the needs of communities when they are at their most vulnerable.

Designed by medical professionals with experience in disaster and conflict medicine, the course also provides you with the skills required to plan, manage and deliver a medical programme under challenging conditions, whilst also considering ethical, legal and logistical issues.

  • Gain the necessary skills to deal with every stage of healthcare delivery in a disaster, from advance planning and immediate response to healthcare in the medium-to-long-term. 
  • You’ll study the framework of disaster management with a focus on initial response and the important role of communication.
