About Finance in University of Aberdeen
The Finance group is a very active research group that focuses in particular on the broadly defined areas of:
- corporate governance/ finance and regulatory issues
- behavioural finance and in empirical finance, in particular the relationship between financial markets and the real economy including the property market
Staff also foster collaborative interdisciplinary and international research which further strengthens its research base. Staff regularly visit universities in Europe, USA, Australasia and elsewhere as well as hosting visiting staff and seminars.

- Macroeconomics
- Economics of health and wellbeing
- Experimental economics

Graduates go into Public/Private Sector Accounting and Management, Fund Management, Stockbroking, Investment Analysis, Banking and Financial Services and Academia.
