If you are unsure which area suits you, the combined Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree lets you explore both disciplines (Note: Accreditation is currently being sought for the combined pathway).

On successful completion of study, we will issue the following award: BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering
In Year 1, your learning will closely mirror our other engineering degrees (Aeronautical, Mechatronics etc.) to ensure you have a solid grounding in engineering principles.
In Year 2 you’ll specialise in areas such as advanced electrical and electronic simulation and control. BEng (Hons) students can also take an optional industrial placement. This is a great chance to develop your employability skills and get you ready for potential graduate roles. Our close links with many high profile companies mean that we can help secure placements.
In Year 3 you will complete a substantial engineering project. You will also get the chance to present your work to industry and the public at the annual GradEX event.
Entry requirements
To apply for an undergraduate (bachelors) degree you need one of the following qualifications:
- Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) / Standard 12/ XII with a minimum score of 65% overall
- International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma with 28 points overall
- Successful completion of a relevant International Foundation Year from a recognised UK Institution
