Towards the end of Year 1, you’ll be able to apply for a competitive place on our Applied Biomedical Science route. Ideal if you are looking to become a registered biomedical scientist with the NHS, this route involves taking a 14-week clinical placement and completion of the registration portfolio, which will make you eligible to apply for Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration when you graduate.
If you do not meet our direct entry requirements for degree level study, then a BSc (Hons) with a Foundation Year is available. You’ll study your first year at City of Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College and on successful completion join the BSc (Hons) course at the Stoke-on-Trent university campus. High levels of tutor support and guidance will prepare you for degree level study.
