About BA (hons) Body Art in Solent University (Southampton)
This course does not only concentrate on tattooing, but also explores the anthropological rationale of body art in different cultures, and how this fast-growing area is becoming a global phenomenon. You’ll also research sociology and art, helping you to become a forward-thinking practitioner with a firm grasp of the history behind body art.
Throughout the course you’ll be supported to develop new and exciting approaches to body art, ensuring you move on from the ‘artisan’ approach adopted by many currently working in the sector. Through the use of the Living CV, and Professional Practice modules you will also be supported to be aware of your unique skills – ensuring you are confident in the best way to seek employment upon graduation.
