Future careers

The majority of graduates go directly into employment as fully qualified teachers. Science teachers remain in short supply meaning employment prospects are excellent, with the starting salary in 2017/18 a minimum of £22,917. Transferable skills are also developed throughout the course, allowing for alternative career routes.

• Applicants who have completed the first year of an undergraduate degree at an Indian university may be considered for direct entry to Sheffield Hallam University undergraduate programmes.
