BA (honours) Business Studies in Sheffield Hallam University
Course summary
- Discover which areas of business you excel in and design your own path to your chosen career.
- Develop the key skills and confidence to help you succeed in the business world.
- Have the opportunity to work or study abroad – with the possibility of Erasmus funding available for European placements.
No two students have the same experience on this course. The variety of optional modules means you create your own business studies degree, exploring the areas of business you want to work in and specialising in your areas of interest. You’ll then graduate with the confidence and qualities that employers really want.
Work placements
You’ll be actively encouraged and supported to take up a placement year – either nationally or internationally. Many students do a placement each year – gaining experience with corporations in locations such as New York, California, Florida, Dubai, Australia, Hong Kong and the Maldives. You can also study a language, and you’re offered a chance to study at a European university for either a year or semester – with the possibility of Erasmus funding being available to support costs for overseas study.
Networking opportunities
As a student in our Sheffield Business School, you’ll benefit from being part of a vibrant community – as well as the student-led Business and Management Society for peer support and networking opportunities. We also pay for you to be a Student Member of the Institute of Leadership and Management during your course – giving you access to their resources and networking events, and helping you build up your LinkedIn contacts for your career ahead.
