This 3d design degree will give you the opportunity to explore the disciplines of Product Design, Ceramics and Glass and Jewellery Design through research, development and innovation in materials and processes. You will experience traditional making skills and techniques whilst broadening your knowledge of advanced digital design and fabrication methods.
You will explore methods of design thinking and making skills including 3D modelling and Adobe CAD training, design drawing and visualisation, ceramics, glass, metalwork and rapid prototyping in plastics and metal. You will have the opportunity to participate in industry-linked projects, design internships, live competitions and public facing events, which will help develop your professional design skills and get you ready for the real world of work. There are three named degree awards; Product Design, Ceramics and Glass and Jewellery Design.
