Building Surveying is concerned with the maintenance, adaptation, refurbishment and repair of buildings. You will develop a range of skills relating to the built environment including; managing tasks and solving problems, applying numeracy, as well as design, technology and management skills and communication.
A distinctive feature of the BSc (Hons) Surveying course is our common first year, which allows you the flexibility to experience construction modules alongside both building and quantity surveying based modules, to then decide which discipline you wish to pursue throughout the remainder of your studies.
On the building surveying route, you will gain an in-depth understanding of how to manage, maintain and adapt buildings to ensure the continued use of our built environment assets.
You will develop an in-depth understanding of how buildings function by developing detailed knowledge of construction technology and building pathology.
