About Interior Design BA (hons) With Integrated Foundation in Regents University London
Interior Design at Regent's allows you to gain a deep understanding of built spaces and to design for people and their needs. You'll learn to exercise your creativity and design spaces that improve the lives of the people who use them.
The programme covers a range of public and private spaces, considering them from a variety of angles, including:
- Historical
- Social
- Ethical
- Environmental
- Architectural
The programme will introduce you to interior design principles, practices, styles and professional standards. You will explore the importance of location and context, and learn how to create spaces that meet the requirements of its users.
You will then learn how to apply these to a brief, choosing the best materials, tools and techniques. This includes the skills you need to effectively communicate with employers and clients.
The programme is industry-focused. This means that you will be taught by expert practitioners and spend time working on real-world briefs and live competitions. You'll visit the studios of practicing designers and have the chance to attend industry-insight lectures.
You'll also be taught the drawing and making skills you'll need to succeed in industry. You'll use our dedicated studio space, which includes:
- 3D printer
- Laser cutter
- Wood working equipment

Direct Entry to 1st Year:
Year 12 Grade – cumulative score of 65% and above.
Advanced Entry to 2nd Year:
Year 12 Grade – cumulative score of 75% and above. Advanced entry is possible on a range of courses. Student applications will be considered on a case by case basis.
English language requirements (one of the below):
- IELTS :Overall score of 6.0 with no score below 5.5 in any of the four components
- TOEFL IBT: Overall score 80. (We do not accept TOEFL from applicants requiring a Tier 4 visa, as this qualification is no longer accepted by the UK Visas and Immigration Department (UKVI)
- PTE: Overall score of 58, with 51 or above in each individual component
