About Msc Quantity Surveying in Nottingham Trent University
Quantity surveyors manage the commercial aspects of building and civil engineering projects, including finances, procurement and contracts. On this course, we’ll equip you to specialise in this field – preparing you for roles that sit at the heart of the construction process.
You'll learn about the various procurement options available in the UK and internationally, and develop approaches that seek to maximise client value, minimise costs and deliver construction projects to the required standards. Through module and project work, you’ll explore construction law, technology and management and have the opportunity to source and gain real work experience on our Industrial or Professional Experience optional module.
Careers and employability
The course is accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), enabling successful graduates entry to the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) of the RICS. The APC is the on-the-job training scheme that graduates need to complete to qualify as a chartered surveyor. Find out more about how to complete your APC and become RICS qualified.
This course provides an opportunity for graduates and professionals from disciplines unrelated to real estate and construction, to embark on a professional career in quantity surveying.
