About Mcomp (hons) Computer Science in Nottingham Trent University
This exciting four-year MComp course combines undergraduate and postgraduate content.
This course has been designed to cover the computer science foundation subjects and then build on this foundation with postgraduate level material in the final year. You will acquire the skills to become an independent learner and gain advanced skills in specialised areas such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, advanced analysis and design, embedded systems and programming.
A group project to manage and deliver a significant multidisciplinary engineering project will help you to further develop your communication, project management and teamworking skills.
In addition you will undertake a substantive individual project where you will be required to develop software or hardware in an innovative manner.
You have the option to transfer between the MComp degree and the BSc degree during the first two taught years of the course, subject to your performance and your chosen module in year two.
You will also have the opportunity for a year-long paid work placement. The School has strong links with industry, both nationally and internationally. Our industrial partners include representatives such as:

Nottingham Trent University Admission Procedure
- Application: The UG applications are accepted through ‘Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS)’ and PG applications through the ‘NTU applicant portal’.
- Application fee: One needs to pay £13 for 1 UG course and £24 for multiple UG courses.
- Application deadlines: For UG students the last date to apply is June 30, 2019. The PG programs don’t have any official deadline, however, it is better to apply one month prior to course start date.
- General requirements: Completed application form, academic transcripts, and English proficiency tests.
- Additional requirements: Birth certificate, passport copy, LOR.
English Proficiency Test: Majority of the courses require IELTS score ranging between 6.0 and 6.0 for entry. However, other equivalent English test scores are also acceptable.
