Civil engineers find creative ways to solve real-world problems, developing the physical infrastructure for society to exist – from bridges to houses, and from roads to hospitals and train stations. This course provides a broad civil engineering education and will give you the design, analysis and construction skills needed for the industry.
You'll be equipped with the abilities necessary for developing sustainable and cost-effective design ideas. Through industry-facing projects, site visits and the opportunity to undertake a work placement year, the course will give you the skills needed to begin a successful career. You'll learn about structures, materials, geotechnics and mathematics and develop an applied understanding of practical engineering techniques to find innovative solutions to real-world built environment challenges.
