Course Details
The social care sector is growing with increasing employment opportunities for work with children, young people and families. This course will develop your expertise to work in a variety of settings with people of all ages, helping the people you support to achieve their full potential. Your studies start with a clear focus on local contexts before addressing national and global issues as you progress. You will develop a better understanding of how complex contemporary society is and how this impacts all of us. You also have the opportunity to transfer to the BA (Hons) Youth Work & Community Development (JNC) or BSc (Hons) Social Care, Justice & Recovery course on completion of your first year, without the need to repeat modules.
Course Benefits
You can undertake an international volunteering placement in your second and third years. Previous students have delivered education and community development programmes in India, South Africa, Finland and the US with people from diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds. You'll share modules with students from related courses, allowing you to learn about the different areas of social science and how specific environments and situations are handled. You'll also undertake role play with professional actors playing the part of vulnerable people as well as produce video diaries and blogs, all fantastic opportunities to practice your skills in a safe environment and reflect on your learning.

Standard 12th qualifications (CBSE/ICSE or State Boards of equivalent)
Grade: Minimum aggregate of 60% and above
English language requirements (one of the below):
- IELTS 6.0 with no skill below 5.5
