About Sports And Exercise Therapy | Bsc (hons) in Leeds Beckett University
Course Details
Gain the clinical knowledge and professional skills needed to assess, treat and manage sports injuries. You will study a variety of sports science and therapeutic modules on this demanding and extremely rewarding course. In your first year, you will be able to register as a student member of The Society of Sports Therapists. Through supervised placements, you will build up the working hours required to register as a sports therapist upon graduation.

Course Benefits
Through practical placements under the supervision of a professional, you will accrue the working hours you need to register as a sports therapist. In our rehabilitation science labs you can practice massage skills and assess and treat athletes. Plus, we have a specialised sports injury and massage clinic at our Headingley Campus - you'll have the opportunity to work here, be supervised and enhance your skills.
We also offer placements in local amateur and professional sporting environments. Throughout our course you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience through volunteering activities at local and national sporting events.
Our course is delivered in collaboration with sports experts in our Carnegie Faculty, and you will have the opportunity to work in world-class sports facilities at the Headingley Carnegie Stadium.

Standard 12th qualifications (CBSE/ICSE or State Boards of equivalent)
Grade: Minimum aggregate of 60% and above
English language requirements (one of the below):
- IELTS 6.0 with no skill below 5.5
- All India Senior School Certificate (CBSE) – English Grade 70%
- Indian School Certificate (Class-XII) (CISCE) – English Grade 70%
