Graphic Design | BA (hons) in The University of Sydney

Course Details

This course will allow you to develop your own approach to the study and practice of graphic design through a combination of brief-led and self-initiated projects. You will have the opportunity to explore a wide spectrum of disciplines, including design for print, illustration, photography, typography, animation and moving image. This will allow you to find your strengths and develop your own individual style.

We will give you the opportunity to show off your projects to the public and impress industry by exhibiting your work at the end of your final year. You can see some examples of work from our students here and in our end of year show publication

INSIDE/OUT

The INSIDE/OUT lecture series offers historical, theoretical and critical analyses of art, architecture and design and welcomes internationally recognised practitioners to come and talk about their practice. Find out about forthcoming events on the INSIDE/OUT webpage.

Course Benefits

You will drive your own learning and set your own targets, as you would in a real working environment. You will work alongside practitioners and on live briefs from organisations such as Harvey Nichols, the BBC, Leeds Art Gallery and the NHS.

Placement opportunities are available to you, with exchange opportunities to Hiroshima and Estonia, and through our university partnerships with the Frans Masereel Centre in Belgium and the European Exchange Academy in Berlin.
