About Paramedic Science Bsc (hons) in Coventry University
A Paramedic provides specialist care and essential treatment to patients of all ages in a variety of dynamic emergency and urgent healthcare settings. Very often the first emergency service and healthcare expert on scene, they can administer a range of life-saving treatments and provide vital information and support to people suffering from a variety of traumatic injuries and/or medical problems.
As a student Paramedic, this course aims to prepare you to face the challenges that come with providing emergency and urgent care to an ageing and diverse population in the pre-hospital and out-of-hospital environment.

Paramedic graduates from Coventry University are much sought after by NHS Ambulance Trusts and the majority of our graduates have secured employment as a Paramedic even before they have completed their course. We work closely with Ambulance Trusts and partners and many of our graduates choose to secure employment with their placement provider.
While most graduates initially choose to work in an NHS Ambulance Trust, the range of opportunities for a Paramedic is expanding. Careers available outside the NHS include event cover, forensic Paramedics and private ambulance services.
