Criminology is the field of study which focuses on criminalisation, victimisation, and social responses to crime and disorder. Our degree programme offers the opportunity to explore sociological and political approaches to criminology.
Criminology at Cardiff University draws on a range of social science perspectives – including sociology, law, and history – and we encourage you to combine theories and insights from the range of disciplines in our School to increase your knowledge and understanding of crime and its control.
You will examine how to approach problems of crime, justice and control as a social scientist before applying your new research-driven skills to real world issues and debates.
