Computing For Interaction - Bsc (hons) Degree in Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK
Computing For Interaction - Bsc (hons) Degree in Cardiff Metropolitan University
Informed by industry needs, the Computing for Interaction degree sits at the intersection between software development and creative design. You will develop your skills in application design and development – both web and mobile – with a focus on user experience (UX) and interface design to build attractive and usable websites, applications and software.
During the course, you will investigate how emerging technologies – including invisible interfaces, the Internet of Things (IoT) and Edge and Cloud Computing – change the way users interact with software, hardware and the ever increasing amount of data we’re presented with. You will look at industry-relevant aspects of software development, including project lifecycles, budget and proposal development, the role of the prototype, and the practical application of production processes to develop client-centred projects.
Upon graduation, you will be professionally prepared to contribute to multi-disciplinary teams as an information architect, in the field of prototype application and website development, and in usability testing and interaction design – applying best practices in design to the production of interactive software products or systems.
