The MSc Tourism and Event Management programme offered at Canterbury Christ Church University is established upon a firm foundation of research-led teaching, innovative and blended learning methods, expertise-driven insights, as well as a clear commitment to guiding and supporting student and employability development at the postgraduate level.

Who is the course for?
The programme is designed for those who have an interest in the tourism sector generally and are also keen to focus on the growing field of event management. Events have become synonymous with tourism in recent years. They have become major destination attractors and contribute hugely to community pride and identity. Events range from conferences to arts festivals, to major sporting tournaments designed to regenerate post-industrial cities.
The programme is of particular relevance, though not exclusive, to recent graduates of event management, tourism management or business management or related disciplines. However, over the years our post-graduate students have come from a variety of disciplines, ranging from childhood studies and marketing to health care and media.

Academic qualification equivalents:
- Bachelor of Arts/Science/Commerce degree of at least 3 years duration or Professional Degree (4 years+)
English language requirements (one of the below):
- IELTS : 6.5 or equivalent, with no less than 6.0 in Writing and no less than 5.5 in Reading, Speaking and Listening.
- TOEFL : minimum score of 90, minimum score of 19 in reading, writing and listening.
- PTE : overall score of 58 and no PTE communicative skills score below 50
