About Performing Arts in Canterbury Christ Church University
This course is for those wishing to pursue a career in an aspect of Performing Arts through module choices in dance, drama, vocal studies and creative theatre production. The programme gives flexibility to develop your preferences. You will have access to superb facilities and be taught by experienced practitioners and academics.

Our three-year Performing Arts degree gives you breadth and depth of study to understanding working in creative and performing arts industries. We have, specialist tutors who have been professional practitioners in music, dance, drama and theatre production, and excellent working relationships with the creative industries in and around our lively arts community.
There are also options so you can build the programme to suit your interests and developing specialism.
What can i do next?
We think we have created a course that sends our graduates out well-prepared for the world of the performing arts. You will know how to market yourself in print, online, and in person. What course you take, in a multi-faceted industry, will be up to you – but we will have got you ready for it. You may also undertake further study in Masters courses in a discipline such as Drama or in business as an entrepreneur such as Arts and Cultural Management. Some students choose to apply to study for a teaching qualification as a PGCE or Schools Direct.
Academic qualification equivalents:
- Successful completion of standard 12 th with 60% average and one further year of study
English language requirements (one of the below):
- IELTS : 6.0, with no less than 6.0 in Writing and no less than 5.5 in Reading, Speaking and Listening.
- TOEFL : Total minimum score of 80, with at least 19 in reading, writing and listening.
- PTE : overall score of 50 and no PTE communicative skills score below 42
