Graduate Profile

“Having the right skills is vitally important in today's competitive IT job market. With a degree in Computer Network and System Management and the Cisco CCNA from LIT, you're assured of learning up-to-date career skills that will prepare you for the IT jobs of today and tomorrow. This course has provided me with the stepping stone to establishing an exciting career. I started from Technical Support Analyst in Cerner Corporation, to Network Engineer in FAXBOX Ltd in Dublin. And today I am very happy working as a Unified Storage Engineer (SAN & NAS) with EMC Corporation in Cork.”

Dominique Mangoubi

"The course provided me with the expertise and skills necessary to work in today’s rapidly evolving IT industry. Six months after graduating, my current job is the IT manager of a fast growing London company. It involves a project which will see our IT infrastructure migrate from Windows exchange server to Google Apps. The scripting skills and hands on experience with Windows server that I acquired through teaching, coupled with the cloud computing skills I gained during my final year research project have proved invaluable within this position. Throughout the course, I received tremendous guidance and encouragement from my project supervisors and lecturers. Additionally, the syllabus includes a six month work placement, which is very well supported in terms of allocation and liaison. This work placement was an essential addition to my CV and, along with the knowledge and expertise acquired from course modules, it will certainly give you the edge in the job market after graduation.”
