About Bachelor Of Science In Web Technologies & Programming in Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology

Accelerated conversion degree programme for non-computing graduates (those holding at least a level 7 degree on the national framework of qualifications (NFQ)). 

The focus of this degree is on skills development in the area of new and emerging web technologies.

The modules studied provide detailed coverage on the writing, mark-up and coding involved in web and mobile development, including:

• Web content
• Rich web client
• Server-side scripting
• System, network and database infrastructures

Work Placement

Upon completion of the taught modules, students undertake a work placement of circa 10–12 weeks duration where possible. 

The 10–12 weeks duration for work placement is a suggested minimum, not a maximum.

If a work placement is not possible, students can undertrake a web-technologies related project.
