Financial Management
The Financial Management course prepares you optimally for a career in finance, accounting, controlling and tax. They acquire knowledge and skills that both form the basis for specialization within the sub-areas mentioned and promote the assumption of a management function as a generalist.
Contents of the Financial Management course:
The fundamentals of risk management are dealt with in the Finance sub-area. Another focus is on the basics of company valuation. Based on a practice-oriented case study, which is often carried out in cooperation with an international accounting firm, the methods of company valuation are deepened.
The focus of the Accounting sub-area is on international accounting and group accounting. In addition to the audit of the group accounting obligation and the delimitation of the companies to be included in the consolidated financial statements, the event section Group accounting contains in particular the methods of consolidation. The accounting treatment of practice-relevant matters based on the international accounting standards (IFRS) is part of the event section International Accounting.
The Tax sub-area focuses on the application of the most important regulations on company taxation. In particular, questions of taxation of partnerships, the division of companies, the sale of companies, company succession and business start-ups are dealt with.
The controlling-related parts of the event are devoted to the job description of the controller and the fundamental questions of controller organization. The focus is also on learning and using modern budgeting procedures.
