Social work - motor and motivator of society
The “Social Work” course teaches skills that lead to well-founded advisory skills. The subject is the development, promotion and deepening of personal competencies based on social science, legal and methodological principles and a practice-oriented structure of the course.
Social work tries to solve social problems in a scientifically sound way and to prevent them. The subject therefore deals with empowering people in problem situations, developing their opportunities and making living with other people satisfactory.
The course in social work places a special focus on the essential components of history and theories of social work, fields and forms of work in social work, economic and legal aspects as well as social controlling and quality assurance. The development of technical, methodological, social and self-competence takes place via the semester contents shown below.
Teaching topics include forms of organization of social work, instruments of individual social assistance, basics of psychology, legal questions, effect-oriented control of social work, case management, quality management, social marketing, business aspects of the measures.
