Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design - in cooperation with Atelier Chardon Savard, Paris
The Atelier Chardon Savard, one of the top fashion design schools in France is a partner of Macromedia University. Through this partnership, we bring the Bachelor in Fashion Design study programme to Berlin, the fashion capital that stands out with its unique quirky style, experimentation and entrepreneurial spirit. The programme leads to the state-recognised and accredited Bachelor's degree in 7 Semesters. In the last semester, students complete a practical semester in the fashion industry, ideally opening up a direct entry into professional life. The study programme is offered both in German and in English as an international degree programme.
The study programme: Fashion Design B.A.
The Atelier Chardon Savard conducts the study programme with French flair and know-how from 30 years of experience, in Berlin, the creative capital of Germany. Classes take place in the beautiful loft rooms in Kreuzberg which is a cultural hot-spot teeming with creative people.
The past graduates of the fashion academy, founded in 1988 by Cyrille Chardon and Dominique Savard, work today for top brands of the fashion world, for instance, Jean Paul Gaultier, Kenzo, Paco Rabanne and Louis Vuitton. In addition to the intensive contacts of Atelier Chardon Savard with well-known companies in the fashion world, what prepares you for a brilliant career in fashion design is the individual support provided by the lecturers, the study projects and the intensive teamwork. During your studies, you will develop your own collection which you can present to the public at the annual fashion show. This is the perfect opportunity to hone your personal style and get a taste of what it is like to be a designer.
The practical semester at the end of your studies allows you to successfully transition to professional world - whether as a designer at a label, as a fashion journalist at a magazine, as a freelance fashion designer or as a coordinator in a fashion label.
