The course focuses on 4 key areas:
- How retail businesses operate; retail marketing; managing a department in different types of shops; coordinating a retail network.
- Studying and understanding the business environment, competition and consumer behaviour.
- Managing a team; planning tasks; appraising employees.
- Economic and financial management of a profit centre; drawing up and managing a budget; creating an investment plan.

Internships
With a total of 52 weeks spent on internships over the 3-year programme, between each teaching semester and at the end of the course, you remain in constant contact with the business world.
Company visits
These tours allow you to discover the operational and sales techniques adopted by different companies (including purchasing centres, logistics facilities, wholesale markets and manufacturing and processing companies) and learn about the unique features of each type of retail store (department stores, supermarkets and hypermarkets, large specialised stores and convenience stores).
“Insight into international business” seminar
You will meet the people behind innovative projects in both France and Europe, who will explain the key phases of their sales strategies and the innovations they have introduced in their store network.
