Msc Innovation, Transformation, Entrepreneurship in Liverpool John Moores University
The KEDGE MSc Innovation, Transformation and Entrepreneurship offers to train agile entrepreneurs, “transformative leaders” who can alternately work in companies in transformation management positions or in the startups they will create.
By taking the skills to transform business models disruptively, the program fully meets the needs of the market. The objective of the program is above all to provide a response to a market, to the needs of companies today constrained to innovate and to open up to a global performance and no longer solely economic. The MSc thus trains future innovators who will be:
- pilots and leaders of transformations linked to innovation projects,
- actors of value creation, able to bring out collective intelligence in a larger organization,
- intrapreneurs and entrepreneurs capable of bringing their inventions to the market, by leaning on the right skills to innovate.
Strong points
Track “Entrepreneurs”: The creation of a startup
For students who choose this option, creating a startup is the common thread. The objective of combining training with the concept of "startup studio":
- from an idea, piloting the creation of a startup by benefiting from personalized support by experts,
- from a desire, co-pilot the creation of a startup.
Track “Intrapreneurs”: A red thread case around a business mission
The program is based on an inductive pedagogy. This is why, students work on a business issue throughout their schooling.
- The red thread case is proposed by a company on strategy, strategic management, business transformation, diversification through innovation…
- Students are faced with a real and complex issue where only collective intelligence will co-construct responses to resolve the case.
- The resolution is done via a transdisciplinary approach.
- The teachers animate and adapt their lessons to the progress of the students in their work on the red thread case.
A Hackaton, open innovation challenge
The hackaton takes place for a month, in April. It allows to:
- cross knowledge to innovate: mobilization of internal and external students to the program, Engineers, Managers, Designers, business executives…,
- build transdisciplinary teams,
- get out of the frame of reference and work on a another problem, linked to a different environment.
Inductive pedagogy, training as a service (TaaS)
The program offers a course in reverse pedagogy:
- knowledge is delivered online (distance),
- know-how and interpersonal skills are validated by real experience throughout the year.
Another characteristic: training is at the service of the red thread project (concept training as a service). Thus, to support students in their mission, learning platforms are available and allow:
- to seek at any time the advice the student needs,
- to go beyond the 12 fundamental courses of the training to meet different needs,
- to offer an inductive educational approach which encourages the student to be active and to seek information.
A study trip
A one-week study trip is included in the training. The latter will take place either in Silicon Valley or in Israel (the decision will be taken at the start of the school year by the program's steering committee). This study trip will allow you to discover startups and innovative companies in total immersion in their environment.
Several Study trip possibilities will also be offered during the year, the objective of which is to go beyond its frame of reference and benchmark on good practices in terms of innovation or entrepreneurship.
As an example: As a partner, visit the Technion scientific center, or visit Station F in Paris, or visit the Airbus Bizlab
Expert conferences
Once a month, experts from various fields of activity speak out on a specific subject: ethical and moral digital, health,
for example, a conference by Christophe Prior Chief Transformation Leader at AIRBUS Hélicopter on impact of new technologies on leadership. Or Marc Géméto Innovation Strategy Director at Thales on Agile Innovation
A solid network of partner companies
