About Psychology Bsc in University of Northern British Columbia

Psychology is the study of behaviour, feelings and thinking. Psychologists study the biopsychosocial and developmental mechanisms and processes that regulate the behaviour of individuals. The goal of the Department of Psychology is to provide advanced knowledge in the substantive areas of Psychology. In addition, the Department provides excellent training that enhances the student's competitiveness for advanced graduate study in Psychology and related areas.

Major in Psychology

Undergraduate students are required to take a minimum of 56 credit hours of psychology courses. Of these, at least 38 credit hours must be upper-division courses.
The minimum requirement for completion of a Bachelor of Science with a major in Psychology is 122 credit hours.

Academic qualification equivalents

• All India Senior School Certificate (CBSE), or
• Indian School Certificate (CICSE)

English language requirements (one of the below):

• IELTS (International English Language Testing System) Academic score of at least 6.5 overall, with not less than 6.0 in any of the four modules.
• TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of 90 or higher in the internet-based test,  with not less than 20 in each of the Reading, Listening, Writing speaking components.
• PTE (Pearson Test of English - Academic): 65 overall score, with 60 reading, 60 writing, 60 listening, and 60 speaking.
