Sociology
The Sociology degree is a four-year program offered by the University of Saskatchewan that may be completed at Parkland College. Sociology is the study of human social life, focusing on developing an understanding of changes in social structure and human interaction on an individual, societal and global level. Students in Sociology learn to analyze social issues and think critically about the world around them. A degree in Sociology prepares students for studies in areas such as criminology, journalism, law, medicine, nursing, planning and social work.
All classes can be completed at Parkland College through face to face classes and online distance learning from the University or Regina, University of Saskatchewan and Athabasca University. This bachelor degree is a bit more complex than many of our other programs because of the need to work within some tight regulations. It is essential that students interested in pursuing this field of study contact our academic advisor for more information and to create a schedule of classes.
