About International Business in Lambton College

The Lambton College International Business, Ontario College Diploma program prepares graduates for exciting and rewarding careers in the global workplace. Students will study foundational business knowledge as well as gain specialized global business knowledge and communications skills required to work in a career in international business.

In the first year, students will be introduced to business courses in marketing, accounting, computer applications, business principles and ethics. Important studies in business communications and mathematics round out the year. The second year will move into international business courses that deal with topics such as international commerce, global supply chain documentation, sales of goods, and marketing from an international trade perspective. Graduates will gain specialized career expertise, technical knowledge and skills in international business.

Upon meeting graduation requirements, pending accreditation approval graduates will possess the necessary course preparation to apply for the Diploma in International Trade from the Forum for International Trade Trading (FITT). This program enables students to fulfill the educational component for Certified International Trade Professional (CITP)® designation from FITT as well as the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)®. Separate registration, eligibility and fees determined by FITT and the (PMI)® will apply.

Admission Requirements

• O.S.S.D. or equivalent with:
• Six level 4 courses from the U or M stream and an overall average of 70% minimum including:
• Grade 12 English U (minimum grade of 65% required).
• Grade 12 Mathematics (C, U, or M level)
• Grade 12 Biology U SBI4U (minimum combined average of 70% for chemistry and biology).
• Grade 12 Chemistry U SCH4U (minimum combined average of 70% for chemistry and biology).

English language requirements

• Proof of English Proficiency Test Scores.
• IELTS : 6.0
• TOEFL iBT: 69
