About Music Recording Arts in Fanshawe College

You'll enter this highly competitive program after two years at Western University in the BMusA program, and you'll continue studying at both Western and Fanshawe, earning both practical and theoretical skills needed in this exciting field. You'll become critically aware of all aspects of music and the music industry, including audio engineering and the entertainment business. You'll also be able to communicate what you learn with clients, employers and artists.
When you graduate, you'll be armed with both a Bachelor of Musical Arts degree from Western and a two-year Ontario Diploma in Music Industry Arts from Fanshawe. You'll also have high level performance skills in the hands-on techniques related to specific music performance, artist management, recording technologies and music and audio production. Academic qualification equivalents
- Class 12 passed students from a recognized board including CBSE, CISCE or a state board
- All India Senior School Certificate or Higher Secondary Certificate/Standard 12 or Indian School Certificate (Year 12) as recognized qualifications
- Final minimum average of 65.0% based on the highest six Grade 12 University (U) or University/College (M) courses
English language requirements (one of the below):
IELTS: International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic test with an overall score of 7.0 with no score less than 6.5 in reading and listening and a score of 7.0 in writing and speaking, with test results within the last two years
Please note, some Whitireia degree level programmes require a higher level of English language competence.
TOEFL iBT :Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) test with a minimum score of 88 - 100for the Internet-based test (iBT), with test results within the last two years
