What to expect from our civil engineering courses
With Fanshawe's Civil Engineering Technology program, you'll study structural engineering concepts like the design of steel frame and reinforced concrete buildings. In our civil engineering courses you will analyze theories for the treatment of water, sewage and solid wastes. You will learn how to select and test construction materials and develop skills in computer assisted design (CAD) and drafting, electronic surveying methods and writing technical reports. With a diploma in civil engineering you will be trained to ensure that our communities remain safe and connected by learning on cutting-edge engineering technology, and with in-class lectures. As well, you'll receive hands-on experience in the field of civil engineering, with a full twelve months of paid co-op.

Academic qualification equivalents
- Class 12 passed students from a recognized board including CBSE, CISCE or a state board
- All India Senior School Certificate or Higher Secondary Certificate/Standard 12 or Indian School Certificate (Year 12) as recognized qualifications
- Final minimum average of 65.0% based on the highest six Grade 12 University (U) or University/College (M) courses
English language requirements (one of the below):
IELTS: International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic test with an overall score of 5.5 - 7.0 with no score less than 5.0 - 6.5 in reading and listening and a score of 7.0 in writing and speaking, with test results within the last two years
