The Bachelor of Business Administration program (BBA) prepares students for self-employment and careers in private and public enterprise, cooperatives, government service, and for graduate study. The BBA program core courses put an emphasis on a broad range of business topics while the program as a whole provides a foundation in both business and the traditional liberal arts. A Legal Perspective

Today’s managers and professionals are constantly faced with decisions that have legal implications on their firm and its employees. There isn’t an area of law that doesn’t intersect with business at some point. The concentration in Legal Studies at CBU allows students to experience what the field of law has to offer, providing a foundation in the subject and the choice to explore the field further after graduation.

What Is Legal Studies?

Smart business people arm themselves with the proper knowledge for seeking and understanding legal advice. This saves time and money and makes for better decisions. These decisions could involve criminal law, intellectual property rights, leasing and financing terms, public health issues, or regulatory and licensing matters.  

The concentration in Legal Studies at CBU is designed to produce businesspeople who have a sound understanding of the law and its implications for commerce. Courses are taught by practicing professionals and are designed around current business scenarios. The objective is to develop the ability to recognize legal issues and make intelligent business decisions with the law in mind.

Students must require graduation from an academic secondary school program or equivalent with an average of “C” in five, senior academic-level/university preparatory courses with English, Mathematics and four additional courses.
