Degree or diploma, your choice

Camosun offers both a four-year degree and a two-year diploma in Exercise & Wellness. Both programs focus on fitness promotion, exercise management, personal training and nutrition. The degree includes studies in exercise prescription, chronic disease management and pathophysiology.

What to expect

The Exercise & Wellness programs are located at the Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence on the Interurban campus. The diploma program consists of Year 1 and Year 2, while the Bachelor's degree program adds a third and fourth year of study. Use this Personal Learning Plan to help you track your courses throughout your program.

The science of health

In our Exercise & Wellness programs, you'll gain knowledge and expertise in sport and fitness, and learn how to prescribe exercise programs for people at all stages of life and health.

Academic qualification equivalents

  • Bachelor's degree programs require a minimum of six Grade 12 credits at the university and/or university/college level.*

English language requirements (one of the below):

  • IELTS          :   (Academic) score of 6.0 overall (no sub-score less than 6.0)
  • TOEFL         :   score of 78 overall (no sub-score less than 19)
  • PTE             :   Academic score of 54 overall (no sub-score less than 50)

***This cost is for most ELD (ESL) courses when taken full-time. Students in ELD courses who also register in any academic courses (including upgrading courses) will be required to pay additional tuition and fees per course. Students must meet course-specific prerequisites. Continuing students are expected to contact Camosun International Student Advisors to find out exact fees and confirm whether they meet course prerequisites.
