What you will study
Students will engage in contemporary issues in the marine environment from their first day at university, and the program culminates in a skills-based course and the integration of biology, ecology and management of the coastal zone that is underpinned by the NSW Coastal Management Act and Marine Estate Management Act.
Students will experience relevant field-based scenarios and engage with managers and policy makers from industry, government and the not-for-profit sectors. This will enable students to progress into a career that spans all sectors of the coastal and marine space.
You’ll gain the fundamental skills needed for a career in coastal and marine science which can be supplemented by a broad choice in minors – from traditional sciences to communication, social science and Aboriginal studies.
