The Master of Information Technology, majoring in Computing & Networking advances both skills and knowledge in design, management and maintenance of computer networks, and develops technical skills using advanced technologies.
The program emphasises work-integrated learning and develops employability skills through practical projects and the option of an Internship increasing graduate employability.
You can complete the Master of Information Technology as an independent award or combine it with the Master of Business Administration (MBA) as a joint degree.
Course Structure
The MIT, majoring in Computing and Networking is comprised of 16 subjects. Students must undertake four (4) foundation subjects, eight mandatory subjects and the choice of (4) four optional subjects. Optional subjects comprise of (2) two Information Technology and Business subjects from the information technology and business units offered by JCU Brisbane and two (2) of any appropriate Masters level subjects offered at JCU Brisbane as approved by the Campus Director. Students who satisfy the requirements of this program meet the requirements to apply for membership with the Australian Computer Society (ACS).
