The JCU Bachelor of Commerce (B Com) provides a solid foundation in business skills as a precursor to satisfying the professional requirements necessary for a
successful career in accounting and commerce. Accounting is at the core of every organization and aims at ensuring its financial viability. The JCU program is strongly supported by the local accounting profession and has full accreditation with pertinent Australian bodies including:

  • Certified Practicing Accountants Australia (CPA)
  • Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ)
  • Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)

The course is comprised of 24 subjects involving specialist topics in areas such as financial management, auditing, law of business organizations, taxation, contemporary issues in accounting, performance management and control, These are complemented by business and elective units so as to provide a comprehensive professional qualification.

  • Senior/Higher Secondary Certificate All India Board/State Board with above 60%.
  • Calculated on a percentage of the best four academic subjects in Xll. Non-academic subjects such as Physical Education, Music Vocal, Vocational Subjects, Painting to be excluded from calculation.
