A 1600 hour internship is embedded within the degree which sees you undertake 1600 hours of work integrated learning with IBM® in Ballarat. This exposes you to the world of a globally integrated enterprise allowing you to obtain experience in the breadth and depth of real world, large scale, and complex IT project delivery.
You’ll receive a scholarship of $38,400 over the final two years of the degree as you study and complete your internship. Second and third year studies include courses aligned with your agreed industry focus area: Software Developments focused or Cloud and Mainframe focused. The scholarship enables you to focus on your studies and your internship. Study is spread across semester 1, semester 2 and summer so that you can balance your workload. You will complete in just over 3 years, but if you want to take longer you can.

You will have a wide variety of career opportunities in small, medium and large businesses, industry and government. Upon completion, you will graduate with one year's work experience, and the opportunity to apply for a position at IBM.
Those students undertaking the Enterprise Computing stream may also be in a position to apply for graduate positions with alternative corporate employers based on completed work experience summer placements.
Academic qualification equivalents
- Completion of All India Senor School Certificate (CBSE) or Indian School Certificate (CISCE) with an average of 60% in best four academic subjects* OR Higher Secondary Certificate with an average of 70% (for Punjab and Haryana) or 65% (for other State Boards)in best four academic subjects*
*excludes local languages, work experience, physical education and other non-academic subjects
