About Master Of Engineering - Chemical Engineering Specialisation in Edith Cowan University (ECU)

This course will extend your knowledge in the fields of chemical thermodynamics, environmental and process risk management, minerals and solids processing, among others.
- Demonstrate coherent and advanced knowledge of chemical engineering theory, technical application and research methods relevant to chemical engineering.
- Demonstrate coherent and advanced knowledge of industrial control systems including the design of PLC based automation systems.
- Demonstrate coherent and advanced knowledge of process systems engineering, systems design and control system principles.
- Demonstrate coherent and advanced knowledge of reaction systems and the design of reactor configurations to achieve optimal flow, mixing, heat and mass transfer.
- Demonstrate coherent and advanced knowledge of risk management within chemical process applications, including hazard identification, consequence analyses and frequency estimates and risk mitigation.
- Demonstrate coherent and advanced knowledge of system operations, modelling and optimisation methods for the purposes of performance enhancement of process operations.
- Demonstrate coherent and advanced knowledge of the principles of fluid dynamics and particle mechanics and their application to chemical processing.
- Demonstrate coherent and advanced knowledge of thermodynamic systems and heat and mass transfer systems relevant to chemical engineering.
All applicants are required to have completed a Bachelor degree in engineering or engineering technology, with equivalents considered. Alternatively applicants can have completed the Bachelor of Engineering Science, with equivalents considered.
English Minimum Requirements
Academic IELTS: An overall band score of 6.5, with no individual band less than 6.0
TOEFL: Minimum score of 573, including Test of Written English of 5.0 or better
TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 84, with no individual score less than 17
Pearson Test of English (PTE): PTE Academic 58, with no score less than 50 for postgraduate standard entry courses
University of Cambridge (Cambridge English: Advanced): Post-2015: An overall score of 176, with no individual band less than 169
Other: Other evidence of English language proficiency may be acceptable.
