As an exercise and sports scientist, you are a qualified health professional helping your clients improve their health and fitness, enhance physical performance and prevent and rehabilitate injury in populations of both healthy (including athletes) and the physically challenged (such as aged and injured).
You will combine your academic studies with practical experience with opportunities to get out of the classroom and into the field in professional placements.
If you are interested in physiotherapy, you will be able to choose three specialist elective units from Flinders University if you are considering further postgraduate qualifications in physiotherapy.

Course Structure
The standard course consists of 2 common, 16 core and 6 elective units. A feature of the course is an industry placement unit in which students have the opportunity to put their skills into practice and learn new skills in a workplace setting. For those interested in the physiotherapy units this will consist of 2 common, 16 core, 3 physiotherapy elective units and 3 general elective units. The 3 physiotherapy units are provided by Flinders University in external mode which students take through cross-institutional enrolment.
