Wilmington University is a non-profit, private doctorate research university. It was established in 1968 with a charter class of 194 students. In 2007, this university was renamed Wilmington University.

There are numerous academic colleges dedicated to the arts and sciences, business, education, health professions, technology, social and behavioural sciences, online learning, and experiential learning at this institution. This university has campuses at New Castle, Wilson Graduate Center, Brandywine, Dover, Dover Air Force Base, and Georgetown, all of which are located in Delaware. This institution has campuses in Burlington, Camden, Cumberland, Gloucester, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, Mercer, and Salem, all in New Jersey.
This university offers a variety of courses, including online, hybrid, and flexible courses, in addition to regular full-time courses. An online course allows students to finish the entire course without having to travel to a specific location. In a hybrid course, students will have the opportunity to learn both online and in the classroom. A flexible course allows students to attend class either face-to-face or synchronously online. There are numerous athletic facilities at this university. You can work out in the training room and play sports including basketball, lacrosse, soccer, and volleyball at the university's Wilmington University Athletics Complex. Asbury Field, a softball field at this university, is also available.
