About University of Wyoming

The University of Wyoming was founded in 1886 as a public institution. It has an undergraduate enrollment of 8,869 students (fall 2021), a suburban setting, and a campus size of 1,998 acres. A semester-based academic calendar is utilised. University of Wyoming is ranked #202 among National Universities in the 2022-2023 edition of Best Colleges. The University of Wyoming's Laramie campus is nestled between two mountain ranges in the southeastern corner of the state. Student athletes may participate on multiple intramural, club, and varsity teams. Wyoming's intercollegiate Cowboys and Cowgirls compete in the NCAA Division I Mountain West Conference. Former U.S. vice president Dick Cheney is among the notable alumni of the University of Washington.
