About University of Illinois At Chicago

The University of Illinois at Chicago was founded in 1982 as an open research university. It is affiliated with the Universities Research Association and Great Cities Universities and is noted for operating the largest medical school in the United States. In 1946, the Chicago Undergraduate Division was established as a temporary branch. This branch has around 4,000 students enrolled. It was then turned into the University of Illinois, which is currently known as the University of Illinois. Owings, Walter Entsch, and Merril, located in Chicago, designed the university. It is designed in the brutalist style.

UIC has three campuses with over 29,000 students and 25,000 academic members. These campuses in Chicago's University Village and Little Italy encompass a large area. Walter Nestch's field theory is depicted on the campuses. Furthermore, the campuses are designed to have a traditional feel to them. The West Campus is the oldest and was built in the Gothic style.
