About University of California, Riverside

The Institution of California Riverside, which was founded in 1954, is an open research university affiliated with the APLU. With 127 students and 65 staff members, classes began in 1954. By 1958, the university had grown to over 1,000 students, and enrolments were at an all-time high. Furthermore, the university's Medical School, which opened in 2006, was California's first medical school. A local couple made a significant financial contribution to the university in order to assist in the development of a well-organized medical school with skilled faculty and personnel.Furthermore, the academic members got research support from organisations such as the National Science Foundation and the National Institute of Health in 2012.

The university's strong core programmes and new and emerging fields are housed within three colleges, four professional schools, and more than 20 multidisciplinary research centres, which are located on almost 1,200 picturesque acres in Inland Southern California.

There are undergraduate and postgraduate programmes available at the university. According to reports from 2019, the undergraduate programme has 22,055 students while the postgraduate programme has 3,493 students. In addition, the University of California is the only institution in the state that offers degrees in creative writing, business administration, and public policy. Furthermore, the university offers professional courses in a variety of subjects. Students have gained knowledge and practical experience about the courses thanks to the student exchange programme.
