About Full Sail University

Full Sail University is a Florida-based private for-profit educational institution that was founded in 1979. It was founded as Full Sail Productions, a recording studio. In 1980, the studio relocated to Florida and began providing video and filmmaking classes. Formerly located in Dayton, Ohio, the campus was relocated to Winter Park in 1989. The university has Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges accreditation (ACCSC).

The campus of the university is situated in Winter Park, Florida, just outside of Orlando. The 210-acre campus includes a Hollywood-style film backlot, spacious classrooms, cutting-edge soundstages, and more than 110 studios and labs. The campus is also home to The Fortress, an 11,200-square-foot esports platform with space for approximately 500 spectators. Full Sail University does not have on-campus housing facilities. There are approximately 30 apartment complexes within walking distance. The campus is in close proximity to numerous movie theatres, concert halls, music and sports venues, museums, parody clubs, shopping centres, and nightlife venues. The Walt Disney World, Sea World Orlando, and Universal Orlando theme parks are within 48 kilometres of the campus.

Full Sail University provides numerous associate, undergraduate, and graduate degree programmes. Programs such as media communication, film production, audio creation, animation, technology, and video game design are primarily emphasised. In addition, it provides a limited number of courses in games, sports, and business. In collaboration with Doghead Simulations, the university has also developed the virtual reality classroom app Rumii. The application enables undergraduates to take online courses in a variety of disciplines. The university seeks to provide real-world industry experience and develop innovative problem-solving techniques through theoretical and practical instruction.

The university's partnership with WWE provides students with opportunities to produce WWE NXT tapings and contributes significantly to student scholarship funds. ESPN and Wargaming are the university's other two partners. The International Student Society promotes community learning and offers students opportunities to learn about and celebrate various cultures and traditions. It oversees the Alumni Ambassador Program and ISS Mentorship Program, as well as organises campus-wide events and workshops. Currently, there are more than 19,000 students and 2,060 full-time equivalent employees at the institution.

Today, Full Sail University has a large number of illustrious alumni who are remarkably successful and household names in their respective fields. Adam Wingard (Director, Editor, and Cinematographer), Corrin Campbell (Singer), Sebastian Krys (Audio Engineer), Deraj (American Hip-Hop Musician), Chad Crawford (TV Presenter), Ryan Connolly (Filmmaker and Presenter), Collie Buddz (Singer), Mohammad Alavi (Famous Video Game Developer), Ashish Manchanda (Entertainment Entrepreneur), Steven C. Miller (Screenwriter and (Author, Entrepreneur, and Producer). The university has created a Hall of Fame to honour and recognise their achievements.

Every step of the way, the International Student Center assists international students with admissions, enrollment, and student support teams. The university also has representatives located in China, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, India, South Korea, Mexico, and the United Kingdom, among others.

Application Portal: The international students will be required to attend an interview with an Admissions Representative who will provide all information regarding the online application and admission requirements for a particular programme.
