The University of Greenwich was first known as Woolwich Polytechnic and changed its name in 1992. Has is a public university with campuses in London and Kent, UK, and it achieved a silver rating in the 2019 Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) of the UK government. It has retained its position in the most recent Times Higher Education World Rankings (2022), which places worldwide universities in the range of 601 to 800. According to the 2019 World University Rankings, Greenwich University is among the top 8% of all universities worldwide. Greenwich earned a top ranking for teaching excellence in Europe from THE that same year in July. As of now (since 2021), it is ranked 89th by the Times and Sunday Times.
Three campuses have been established for academic purposes: two in London and one in Medway, Kent. The Greenwich Old Royal Naval College on the banks of the River Thames serves as the university's main campus. These campuses have also been shown in a few films and television shows, including Pirates of the Caribbean, Skyfall, and The Crown, due to their breathtaking views. Here, students can enrol in a variety of undergraduate, graduate, and foundational courses both full-time and part-time. According to the Complete University Guide 2021, the University of Greenwich's MBA (business, management, and marketing) programmes are in the top 3 in London.
There were 17,430 students enrolled in the university's various levels of coursework in 2019. 24 percent of them were doctoral students, and 76% of them were undergraduates. 4,761 part-time students and 14,183 full-time students were enrolled. Regarding the country of origin of the students who were living there, the majority were from the UK, 8% were from the European Union, and 14% were foreign students. 280 Indian students are now studying there for their Bachelor's or Master's degrees.
It's crucial to conduct your research before moving to a new place, especially in terms of housing. 2,400 spaces are offered at Greenwich in halls on or near each of the three campuses. Direct computer network connectivity and building-wide Wi-Fi are both available in the Evert study bedroom. A free on-campus gym membership is offered for both active people and couch potatoes. Bus services that include a free shuttle bus are conveniently accessible and run between these sites. The campus security team is on guard round-the-clock. Scholarships and bursaries are available to students who have excelled in their academic or extracurricular pursuits. The EU Bursary at the University of Greenwich enables first-year students from EU countries to pay less for their first year of tuition. Additionally, international students who have an offer letter from this institution and are coming to study here are eligible for a discount on their tuition of up to £3,000 in the first year. University of Greenwich Campus
The University of Greenwich has three campuses.
Avery Hill Campus : Avery Campus is only a 30-minute train ride away from central London. It includes two sites: Mansion House and South wood. Both are sitting on the edge of Avery Hill Park, and are a 10-minute walk away.
Greenwich Campus : It is the largest of three and is situated on the banks of the Thames River, a World Heritage Site. It's often considered one of the world's best campuses.
Medway Campus is located on the modernized Edwardian Redbrick campus and houses the Schools of Engineering and Science.

International applicants are accepted by the University of Greenwich if they have met the following requirements: completed a secondary education with a college preparatory curriculum; met the requirements for a minimum grade point equivalent; provided the necessary official academic records; also met the necessary deadlines; and had their financial support verified before their admission was finalised.
