About Jacobs University Bremen

Jacobs University is a private state-recognized university in Germany. Spread over 80 acres in Bremen, the university was established in 2001. Since the instigation, Jacobs University remains to be a center for academic excellence. It offers foundation, undergraduate, graduate, executive education, and doctoral programs across disciplines.

The different colleges of the university include Alfried Krupp College, Mercator College, College III, and College Nordmetall. All the programs offered at the university are designed with the updated syllabus as per the global standard. The program modules of Jacobs University are accredited by the German Council of Science and Humanities (Wissenschaftsrat) and the German Accreditation Council (ACQUIN).

  • Jacobs University offers five merit-based scholarships to students. These scholarships cover the entire cost of tuition but not living expenses or university fees.
  • Two of these are offered to women at the undergraduate and graduate level pursuing programs in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) field.
  • One scholarship per focus area (Mobility, Health and Diversity) is also available to students with exceptional academic and achievement.
  • All applicants who complete their application by May 1 are automatically considered for the above scholarships. Once shortlisted, students are required to appear for a Skype interview with the Scholarship Committee.
